Faculty Assistance from a Course Development Team

The development of a web-based course is best approached as a team effort.  The faculty member serves as the “content expert” and will receive technical and procedural assistance from the Michigan Tech Online Learning and Educational Technology Services staff.  The level of assistance needed will vary from course to course.

An instructional designer is available to assist the faculty member in using our Blackboard learning management system and designing the course so that it can take full advantage of the unique characteristics of Internet delivery. Other members of the development team include media production and technology personnel who provide assistance with utilizing studio technology and administer the online delivery systems.
